Special Investigation Service has instituted a criminal case based on results of the official investigation conducted by the JACES  2013-10-24 10:39

   With regard to the information on "Compulsory enforcement officer committed large-scale embezzlement", the press service of the Judicial Acts Compulsory Enforcement Service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia informs:
   An official investigation has been instituted against compulsory enforcement officer of the Department of Levies under State Revenue Committee Claims of the City of Yerevan of the Judicial Acts Compulsory Enforcement Service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, Lieutenant of Justice Arthur Mnatsakanyan based on the Order of the Chief Compulsory Enforcement Officer of the Republic of Armenia No 754 of 17 September 2013.
   The official investigation showed that compulsory enforcement officer Arthur Mnatsakanyan levied AMD 1.289.858 (one million two hundred eight thousand nine hundred and fifty-eight) in total from debtors under 17 enforcement proceedings, did not make a payment to the deposit account of the Judicial Acts Compulsory Enforcement Service in the prescribed manner and did not transfer the amount to claimants.
   Based on the aforementioned and taking into account the fact that the mentioned acts may contain elements of crime provided for by the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia, relevant case materials have been referred to the Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Armenia in order to qualify the abovementioned acts under criminal law.
   Based on the case materials, the Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Armenia instituted a criminal case under points 1 and 3 of part 2 of Article 179 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia against compulsory enforcement officer of the Department of Levies under State Revenue Committee Claims of the Judicial Acts Compulsory Enforcement Service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia, Lieutenant of Justice Arthur Mnatsakanyan for large-scale embezzlement of another’s property entrusted to him by means of abuse of official position.
   The preliminary investigation is pending.
   The Judicial Acts Compulsory Enforcement Service of the Ministry of Justice of the Republic of Armenia is concerned about detecting such cases with a view to have in the Service only impartial and honest compulsory enforcements officers that respect the letter of the law.
